Default Pheasant near Medicine Hat

Long shot here guys but I'm working in Medicine Hat. I'm looking for a place close by that there are some pheasants. I have limited time after work but would still like to get out during legal light. I get off work at 6:30 so it has to be close. Any help is appreciated.

Pheasants don't open up around the Hat until Oct 15th.

Yeah, but I would like to scout a little. Just looking for some area's that I can start to look at and. Have get permission on if I'm still down here when it opens.

I did find a couple of release sites that seem pretty close as well.

Unfortunately by Oct. 15 6:30pm is sunset and it'll be dark by the time you get away from all the acreages close to town. Best spots i know of nearby are all 20-25 minutes from town. If you're not working Saturdays get out early and head toward areas around Irvine, Rattlesnake Lake, or Murray Lake.

Cheers
Chris

Wild birds need water, cover and food. Hit Google maps unto find some areas that might hold birds.
