Default Elk hunting and the boy starts singing the blues

Took my newest young hunter out for an evening of high country hiking and bugling.

He packed the 20g just in case them blue grouse started to pester us.

Whenever I have a rifle.... I can always count on seeing grouse.

He's just ecstatic!
We'll be entering that beast into the youth trophy club comp.

Great evening with my boy.

Good stuff!

I'm looking forward to getting my oldest out this fall to watch myself or his mom -hopefully- harvest a deer while he's there.
