He may get bigger depending on his current age...but I don't think he has the framework to ever amount to too much. He pretty short on the beams and the length of his tines.

I do think he is an old deer, his ears are all torn up and his body is big compared to the other deer from the same camera. All the other deer in the area are mostly 4x4's and this guy is going to be a 6x8(split G2 and G3 on one main beam) How much more time do they actually grow antler? I got other pictures of him 5 days prior to the pictures that are posted and he grew a couple inched all around in five days.

After the first week of august there aren't many surprises. A lot of people think because they are in velvet they are growing. Most whitetails go hard horned the first week of September.

I;ve seen bucks with the velvet rubbed off in mid august, so I don't figure he'll amount to much this year. He's what I call a weiner buck, I wouldn't shoot it myself but he's good enough for a young or beginner hunter or someone just looking for a meat buck.

For the pot, Yes, for the wall, NO.

That's a mature animal, perhaps not quiet at his prime, but close, if he doesn't have the tine length now, he never will.

He'll grow thicker and maybe a bit more tine length, but at this stage in life, it won't be enough to get him past mediocre.
