Default leica geovid 10x42

Has anyone tried out the new leica geovid binos/rangefinder yet? Any reviews on them yet?

Haven't tried them. No some ppl who have and really like them. I seen the new ones in a hunting magazine and they look sweet. If I never already have a good 5Gs wrapped up in binos/rangefinder I would give them a serious look.

Not sure if there is a new model out but I have had a set for about 5 years now and they are great. Exelent clarity and have ranged game at 900+ yards. I was tired of buying junk that I had to replace every couple years and was never saticfied with. Good investment

Are you wanting them for the rangefinder, or the optical quality. If it is for the rangefinder we did a s x s test with the new geo and the new $900 bushnell, the range finder in the new bushnell worked faster and further than the Leica, now the glass and feel there is a slight comparison as the Leica is brighter, not any sharper but brighter. Unfortunately for Bushnell they cheaped out on the body material and it really feels like a P O S in your hands. FS

I had a set of those fusions when they first came out and was impressed by the rangefinder in them too.

I ended up dumping them for the Geovids in favor of a much better all around package. but the laser on the bushnells is for sure no slouch.

I've got the fusions and am very happy with them........I can't remember the distance but I know I've lasered further than 1600 yds

I haven't seen them yet either, hence me asking for clarification, on which "new" Geovids were tested. But then again, you never know what connections a person might have, that would result in him getting hold of the new model in advance of the general public.

I first saw them in Reno at WSF convention. Ordered a pair on Thursday from cabelas, I should have them by Tuesday. No more carrying a range finder and binos.

You posted new Geo, so I was wondering if you had managed to get hold of the newest Geovids, before the general release. After seeing the posted specifications, I am interested to see some reviews on the newest model.

x2

It looks like im gonna have to go play with these.

only complaint I ever had about mine was the left side button. Now they got it right and added the ballistic program. Should be a solid unit.
