Default Bases for Tikka

I am putting scope on Tikka T3 SS Lite and have Leupold STD 2 piece bases part # 54447 but after trying them on it looks to me that they are not fitting all that well....screws feel slightly to big as well. Anybody used those bases? What kind of bases did you used on T3 Lite?

I have used those leupold bases on two t-3 rifles and had no problems at all.

I will check at the store if they didn't mix things up in the package.

I used a tikka T3/whitetail base item ''203899 and ring '' 203946 out of russell's catalogue. They were right around 60 dollars

That is the same leupold base set.Unless the prices have changed drastically, the opti locs were more than double the price of the leupold bases and rings.

Default Tikka bases

Some old Leupold bases for Tikka T3's have too long of screws.I put them on mine, the safety would not stay on,plus I had a few misfires.I called Tikka in Finland and the first question was what bases on rifle. They said to file front screws down and it solved problem.Leupold was going to put shorter screws in new bases.Hope this helps.
