Default Handgun Ammo

I was reading the Edmonton Sun and came across and article about the Liberals proposing control over handgun ammo. The gist of was that they wanted to control who could buy the ammo and where it would be kept. Thankfully it was quickly squashed and pointed out that it was another bunch of 'fluff' that failed to identify the true problem with handguns and gang activity. They still wanted a study done on the issue though. Just what we need, another government study! Just a good reminder why the West voted against the Liberals.

Including the silllyness of not even having a good definition of handgun ammo. There are lots of nice lever actions in .44 Mag good for short range deer. There are revolvers for 45-70. Singleshot handguns for .308, 30-30, etc.

And the most common of all, .22 rimfire comes in rifles, revolvers, semi-autos, singleshots, etc. What we gonna do - ban .22s ?

The purchase and storage of all ammunition is already regulated. Not sure what they would/could change about it.

The proposal of making ammunition illegal to possess without a license was tried years ago in Ontario. It didn't fly.
