What is normal 'Thanks' for getting permission on someone's land?

I never give booze. If its a good spot, it's a gift certificate for dinner out somewhere nice. Get the wife on your side you're in for life.

I play it by ear otherwise. My wife's Uncle gives me an ear full of stories & jokes every time I hunt his place.

Leave nothing on the land except foot prints. Had a landowner once tell me that nothing grossed her out as much as seeing human poop when out walking her land. So when nature
called I would place an old cow patty on top when I was finished. when I told her this story she was impressed and I'm still hunting that land 15 years later.

I always off to help the landowner with what ever chores they would like help with. I also bring a bottle of their favorite booze that we always end up sharing after a successful hunt. I also bring some of the harvest to share with them, either steaks or sausage to cook for lunch. This year I'm planning on bringing some apple wood smoked cheddar that Ive got going right now(assuming I can control myself and not eat it all first ).
