Same guy. Double dipped taxpayers on his meal/travel expenses as well.

He's still waiting to hear from his hit and run charges. It never ends with the guy.

He isn’t an insignificant nobody. He is an outspoken libertarian who held a high position in the Wildrose, now UCP.

The left will use this as fire to try and burn the UCP. Not good for conservatives.

I suspect "try" is the right word.

Remember Deborah Drever, NDP member who gave the flag the middle finger, was a model in an assault scene, was spotted wearing a weed t-shirt (which supposedly shows support for an illegal substance), and made derogatory comments towards gays on Instagram? Huge uproar, petitions formed supporting her resignation, protests, suspended by the NDP, etc. That was just last year, now, not even a whimper. Nobody is going to bring this up in an election in 2019.

Nothing personal against you, but, to me he's just another clown shoe doing dumb things, doin the ol "oh I didn't know it was private land" just another db pretending he don't know no better. Deal with idiots like him tryin to poach on my families land all the time. That entitled mentality is a load of krap. What ever the outcome, he is a liability, not an asset, and an insignificant one at best

My question isn’t about his mental capacity, it’s about the mental capacity of those who voted for him.

Can’t blame the politicians. They are the best we have to offer

Time to look at John Q. Public

When will THEY smarten up?

The correct answer is never.

Default Bad apple.

Time to cut him loose to much of a liability.
It would have been fish and wildlife that donated the deer not him.
He’s a liar that they should make an example out of.

More or less hold your nose and vote these days. Anyone with the talent required to run organizations that affect thousands or millions of people arent going to work for the 150k an mla gets. Basically boils down to who is a big enough sucker to have their personal live picked apart and be pooped on by everyone from media to the letter write complainer for every decision they make.

Politcian is a horrible job, you always get blamed and you always made the wrong move according to atleast 50% of the population.

Lots of jobs pay 150k plus and if your constituants dont like it they can pack their bags and find another workplace lol

You guys missed the joke. I'm aware he didn't donate anything.

From the posted article:

In a statement, Fildebrandt says he didn't realize he was on private land when he shot the animal, has apologized to everyone involved, and has donated the deer meat to a local food bank.

I could be wrong but I believe they reinstated her after she introduced a private members bill "she wrote" (aka the ndp advisors) she was only suspended for optics

His credibility is shot. To pretend he donated the meat was a flat out lie. He didn't have possession of it to do so. Kenney would be smart never to let Fildebrandt ever back into caucus.

Disappointing.

Not too long ago there was talk this guy should throw his name into the UCP Leadership race, and at the time I was among those who wished he had.

Usually it takes PI's or other muckraking to undo a politician, but this guy managed to skip the middleman and do it to himself.

Has he faced election since all this crap came out? I don't think he has, so can't blame voters.

It sounds as if this guy is out of control. And he lied about donating the carcass. The wildlife officer was the one who donated the carcass.

At the very least, he isn't fit to hold any public office. He should be slapped with a lifetime hunting ban and have all of his firearms seized. He should also be charged with trespassing (if he hasn't already).

IMHO, a few months or years behind bars might straighten him out.

Who is supposed to cut him loose? He's an independent. He's not UCP. There is no blow back for the party.

I shake my head every time a politician lies to get out of a tough spot, especially when it’s so obvious. Man-up, pay the consequences and move on, don’t try to spin it.

I don't really care about his political stripes (one side of the aisle or the other), but after his multiple scrapes with the law and ethics violations he should not be a representative for any party or riding.

Honestly how dumb can this guy be? I’ve never seen someone so recklessly destroy their political career over the most contrived things. All three of these scandals speak extremely high of his character.

At the time of the incident he was apologizing profusely, claiming he didn't know it was private land and thought it was crown. He was shocked that Fish and Wildlife had been notified and were on route.
He then began begging to let him go as he only shot a doe and tagged it as he is by the law he claimed. He was telling me he just lost his job and his wife is in a bad way and just wanted to put some meat on the table.
When I first seen him i thought he looked familiar but didn't put it all together until after.
I started to feel bad for the guy, but after finding out who he was I was ****ed off he would lay the poor me attitude and give me the song and dance to try and weasel out of it.

I live in his riding and most definitely did not for for him. If he is foolish enough to try and run again then I might have to run as an independant.
