Default Even the 401 has bad drivers. QE2 isn’t special after all.

But why did it take so much for the OPP to get her pulled over?

Guess she was oblivious to the red and blue lights.

Because she's an incompetent driver, like half the people on the roads these days...

They come from foreign countries, where driving laws are rarely enforced if they even exist, and everyone drives however & wherever they want.

Then they come to Canada, become "driving instructors" specifically for foreign speaking immigrants, and blend their traditional habits with Canadian driving laws.

I've watched some of these "instructors" driving their training vehicles (alone, no passengers). It's scary, literally.

How they ever manage to get such credentials (driving instructor), is beyond me...

I disagree. Most elderly drivers are overly cautious...that I can deal with.
It's the 25 year old males in either their Dodge Rams or Japanese rice burners who decide they just have slot into the two car lengths between me and car infront of me...even though there is a block of clear road behind me.

"Even the 401"?

Have you never driven it? More like ESPECIALLY the 401.
I've been on it several times in the last 5 years and there are some terrible, dangerous and crazy drivers on the 401. Most of the bad ones don't have Ontario plates though.
Scared the bejesus outta me the first time I got on it with 6 lanes of cars whizzing along faster than I've ever seen here at home.
Once I got used to it though, I loved it. People actually used signal lights and stuff!
I'm no big fan of Onterrible but they have some pretty great road systems.

There is a reason that any little accident on the 401 involves 25 or 30 cars.
140 Km/hr and one car spacing is a recipe for disaster.
Not my idea of fun.

I think the 401 had bad drivers long before the QE2 ever did.

I used to drive the 401 daily and it my life didn’t flash before my eyes at least once I considered it a slow day for traffic. Nothing here comes close.

I am surprised she even managed to merge onto the 401 at that speed.

I agree, other than the road tolls.

And in other news, drivers trying to place blame on a blowout for lack of tire pressure sensors?

https://www.ctvnews.ca/business/fami...nada-1.3721578

What happened to being responsible for standard vehicle maintenance? Sort of like blaming your back up camera if you can't back up using your mirrors.
