Default Carbon Express Maxima Red

Has anyone had any experience with these arrows? They sound great. The last few years I have shot expandable broad heads (I have had good success with them but am not getting the penetration i would like) so I am thinking of switching back to fixed blade. I am thinking of switching to these arrows as well but thought I would check here to see what you guys think.

I like them with my Montecs. I find they do tend to fly slightly better with broad heads as opposed to field tips

For hunting they are fine. If you are shooting any targets at all, you will hate them. I think these are the toughest arrows on the market to pull out of 3D or block targets, especially dense foam. Even the ones made out of layered cardboard in some shops, just brutal. Almost pulled a couple of large targets and wall targets right over when trying to help a buddy pull his arrow out. Have had guys lube them at 3D shoots and the results weren't much better. Only thing I have seen comparable for hard to pull out of targets are skinny arrows from a high poundage bow. Just my 2 cents....

^^^as stated above, stick in targets.
also required nock tuning, not the stiffest spine for a 350, on the pricey side as well.

however, found to be very durable thus far.

I use them with Strykers and really like them...they are tough to pull out of targets.

Yup....why do you think I always volunteer to keep score when I see those! The finish really sticks to targets.

We got a lot of shooters using them...all are hunters but use them for indoor leagues etc...with the scorpion lube they are not as bad as any...with use they get easier...steel wool will shine them up making them a little easier...its the "Buff Tuff" coating that makes them a little resistant...but also one of the tuffest arrows in the world...
To some the weight forward and Dynamic Spine and an fixed broadhead shooting design is worth the little effort to pull arrows...

I mean what the Buff tuff...one pulls a 70 lb bow and complains about pulling arrows...lol
