Wink Roadhunting today - caribou and grizz

Drove to the Berland today, shot these with my "canon"...

Local CO was stopped at the bears, they've been having trouble with these two and a few more causing traffic problems, a few days ago cars and a semi were stopped taking pictures and had highway 40 totally blocked off on the 'S' curves east of Grande Cache. Anyways he let me snap a couple pics before he rubber bulleted them. Besides these he's knows of 10 more hanging on the hwy, roads and railway around Grande Cache, and laughed when he said "the biologists say there's no grizzlies".

Thumbs up Nice

Those are some cool pics!!

Were these all taken around hiway 40? I am headed up towards Hinton in a couple if week and would love to see some grizz or bou. I put on over 100,000 km a year and alot in the bush and have no seen either in AB. If you could give more details on location I would appreciate it. I would love to shot those as well, with my panasonic.

Thanks for the pics.

Thank you very much Alexandria, and the rest of you, glad you liked the pics.

FallAir the pics were taken right off Hwy 40, between the Big Berland and Grande Cache, so about an hour from Hinton north on Hwy 40. The grizz were about 1 km east of Susa Creek, and the bou a little further west, a few km's east of Muskeg/Pierre Grey's Lakes. If you get a chance take a drive up. PM me before you come up and I can try and get an update as to some bear locations for ya if you want.
