Which country in the world at the moment claims it has the fastest passanger train at a speed of over 302 mph ?


Man that would make the trip from Ed. to Cal. short.

Smile Here is the next one (if I won)

If you could wrap a string around the world, about 25,000 miles long and pulled it tight, how much string would you have to add to be able to slip your hand under the string and over the earth?

If mesuring at the equator you would have to add 98.45 miles plus say 1 foot for your hand to get in.

And yes there are lot around Alberta. Put out some feeders next year people, they are fun to watch. Just seen one two days ago at home, feeder on the garage, 20 feet from the kitchen window.

This is in homage to my home town:

The last man ever hanged for a crime in the province of Alberta committed a series of vicious murders. He was caught hiding in a pig farm a 1/2 mile south of this town and initially held in this town's fire hall cells.

Bonus points if you know the year this all went down...

it was Stettler in the late '50's, can't remember the guys name, used to know a fellow who had a family member that was one of his victims I believe

You're very close in location and time but not quite! True the murderer was from Stettler but that's not where he was caught.

It was quite a few years ago that the fellow was telling me about it, his parents were murdered by this guy on a farm I believe????....
