I’ve put probably 500 rounds through mine with zero issues. I like it a lot for grouse.

Default 555

I must be over the 500 round mark with my 20 gauge, no issues here.

Interesting thread on them on Shotgunworld as well, doubling. One fella replaced the sear springs, seemed to have cured it for him.
Take your chances and roll the dice on the Turkish guns, I have a CZ SXS which works well so far, but, I also bought it knowing what it was and what the probable odds were of it krapping out. Up to about 20 boxes thru it, bad weather and all, all 3" ammo, doing well, had a lot of fun with it. Have a Fabarm that has ejectors, didn't like crushed peas and barley in the ejectors, bent an ejector rod apparently, hazards of owning a break action in my book. Can't say as I've crushed peas and stuff in the CZ yet though, I expect it wouldn't like that either. We'll see how the FAIR hammergun handles things this year. It will get the same treatment as the others.
I had similar to a "Benelli click"with an A300 last year, catching on the blind as I got up methinks, had to cycle the bolt when it happened, 5-6 times in a week. Only had 4 or 5 Benelli clicks out of the SBE2 in 6-7 years.

I really wanted to buy one also, as it fit me the best from all the over and under shotguns they have at cabela's.
I was going to take the chance and buy it ,but after reading up on all the faults they have with it . Then I found out you can no longer go threw cabelas for warrantee ,and I have to send it to stevens my self . I heard some guns take a year to get them back .
I gave prophet river a call on one of there shotguns and asked them why they do not sell the 555 and they said ,they had to many faults with them so they dropped the model.

As I thought, this is an old thread from 2016. The 555 had a doubling problem, especially in the 12 ga., when it was recognized they changed the design and this has not been a problem for a couple of years now.

I did notice the price went up on them this year . Maybe because it is fixed ?
or the extra money is needed to repair the one you just bought
