Here's a few I found today. The walking is still tough and the snow is over my knees in alot of places inside the trees. The last one is frozen in a spring, so hopefully no one else finds it before the melt.

Looks like you had a pretty successful day gonefishn! Maybe you can cover that frozen one up before the thaw so it does not get chewed or drug off somewhere. I was out yesterday and only found a small 2 point.

That is a good idea!!... but I am going to hold off on that area until the snow melts a bit more, because I know there are more that are buried and I don't want to keep going back to the same spot over and over.

I hear you about the snow covering stuff. Here's what a couple of my sheds looked like when I found them:

Nice looking sheds fellas. I have picked up about a dozen so far, nothing great. LOTS of snow here makes it tough, another month or so and then I will start seriously adding to the collection!

I know that I am starting to sound like a broken record but I found another single forkhorn wt shed yesterday and once again my trail cams show that two of the larger bucks in my area are still carrying their horns.

Well I finally found some bone worth posting. Was lucky enough to match up this nice set today. A buddy found the left side about three weeks ago and it scores 76". I found the left side today over a mile away from its mate and just the top half inch of the tines was showing through the deep snow. Right side goes 73". I also have a set from the same buck from two years ago and he sure has packed on the mass since then.

Love the pics keep posting. I haven't found a shed since Feb 13 but the snow is finally melting so hopefully that will change soon. I'm going to 204 next weekend and I'm sure I'll find some.

Nice sheds guys!!! Giving me the itch to go back out but the snow is just too deep. Need some warmer days to bring down the snow pack. Havn't been out in about a month. Got to find the match to the dropper yet.

One lousy shed all day , but man was it nice out....

The snow is still very deep where it drifted . We covered lots of trails ...Maybe in a week or so the access will be better when it melts some more.

Found my first couple mulie sheds of the year today. Nothing big, but it's a start. Also seen a herd of about 50+ mulies, all looking healthy (and none with antlers).... on the Spring side of things, I seen a mountain blue bird and 3 canadian geese.

Default Shed'n'Tree

Man I love Shed Hunting !! You never know what you will find and the exercise and enjoying the Great Outdoors on a +3 day could not be better spent.
Anyway I am trucking along on a heavily travelled trail for a few km and I spot a Shed hanging in a tree @ 60 yds ahead. I have never found one in a tree but saw pics before .

Closer look of how it hung up !!

Voice commanded Shed Retriever..

So me and the hound scour the area within 100 yds but cant find the other side. So we put on about another 5km following the trails and do a big horseshoe making our way back to the truck and i spot tines poking out of the snow..

Sure enough its the other side !! Turns out I am about 300 yds from where i found the first one !!

Default sheds/dog

Gotta love the dog picture with the shed. Sure would shed hunting more fun and give a guy a good day out with his hound.

Well, I have been enjoying everyones pics so much that I should probably share a few of my own so far....

My best whitey shed (not very big, but I'm usually after mulie sheds)

The match, 200 yards away

The days rewards, including my smallest shed ever

These are from urban deer, in a heavily shed-hunted area. Its all about timing...

A few more to come....

Here are a pair that I found, that believe it or not, are not a match

First one I've found in this position

Pretty fresh

First shed the pup has been in on (I spotted it, but she "found" it)
