Default Congratulations to all

What a great bunch of animals! Way to go guys. The best part is guys getting out and doing what they love. Some super impressive trophies too.

Outstanding thread.

Thanks for sharing!

Guys what a very discouraging 2021 rifle hunt. Out of probably around 100 posts of successful deer hunts only 1 elk, 2 moose and 1 antelope. Those harvest numbers are way out of wack compared to successful past seasons.

I am thinking they just don't want to post on here. On FB Alberta hunting addicts and 306 hunters, they have been dropping them aplenty, some bruisers too. Also the amount of ladies and kids posting are huge.

I believe on FB theres a lot less bickering believe it or not. You post and theres lots of good job, awesome and people tagging friends. Here it seems a lot people wanna know where and why and how and the PMs start coming. Questions.
Taxidermists say it best, “why is there so much hate in hunting community?”

I am happier for the next guy and love people sharing their pics. Lets all stay positive and post away is what I say.

Yeah but fb is all "where can I hunt, not looking for gps just a good spot where you have seen big animals"

I noticed a lot of women asking that sort of thing, probably asking for their husbands/boyfriends lol

Also the bloody nails photos chicks post that get 1000 likes and the dude that posts a 180" buck that gets 34 likes just shows how many thirsty dudes are in those groups lol

Have you tried a wig and a stuffed braw?

It might drum up a few more likes if that’s what you are looking for

Got this guy at 17 yards the day before all the snow came last week. 200lbs gutted with hide on and yielded just over 90lbs of yummy venison to join the archery bull moose in the freezer.

Just got back from the first day of the cypress hills elk hunt for the week. Saw a young hill in a closed area but nothing else except whitetail does and small bucks. That all changed when we went as far from people and roads as possible. We’re we’re overlooking this big coulee and a herd of 10 came out. It was my dad, his friend and me on this hunt. His friend found a lone cow farther up the coulee so we went after these ones. We had to run across this big coulee and up the other side. We crawled over and there they were with 10 minutes of light left. They were all bunched up so we waited and waited for good shots. I picked one and so did my dad. Boom boom dead dead. Good 100 yards shots for both of us. I’m shooting a 270 and my dad shoots a 7mm rem mag. This was my first elk ever so I was happy with the performance of the 270 hornadys. Took us almost 6 hours to get all of them out. There was our 2 elk and our friends elk up the coulee so with 1 jet sled and three guys pulling we got it out. WOW are they big. I always thought they were in between a moose and a deer but they seem to compare to moose in size. Was very rewarding since we took a leap of faith in a area we never went to but knew would be a hike. Very thankful for a full freezer or 2 including some deer and great memory’s. I would post pics but it was way to dark for anything decent picture wise and they’re cows anyways. The truck was full with hooves stickin out the back on the highway 😂.
Good luck everyone on their end of season hunts.
