I'll never go to Kal Tire again (Lethbridge), the young kid rotating my tires was prepared to torque the lug nuts to 225 lb/ft. Good thing I happened to ask him what torque he was going to do just before he did it.
When I questioned him why so high he proceeded to explain that since I have aftermarket rims, the factory torque specs don't apply. (2012 one tonne dodge diesel, 135 lb/ft is spec, I carry a torque wrench in the backseat and check the lugs frequently).
Buh, bye.
Fountain Tire (North industrial park)... while new tires were being mounted on new rims, the mounting machine peeled off a small piece of plastic from my rim (faux bead lock bolt heads). I approached the guy and asked him what happened? He said he didn't do it, even though the piece of plastic sitting directly on the (clean) floor obviously was a direct fit.
Buh, bye.
If you're ok with an old school, rough around the edges type of tire shop check out Mo Tires on 5th Ave North. I've had plenty of good service there over the years.
