Don't forget to get a pic when you find Willie on the hood of your truck...although the marks the sharp little hooves leave will always be a fond reminder.

Apparently I bought a "fish finder" off of eBay on the weekend. I just got a shipping confirmation email for it today. Cost $44 US. With shipping...definitely not expecting much out of this!! Guess when it shows up in a few weeks I'll see what I got..

Edit: added a link to what it is!

Your story reminded me of a guy I worked with years ago.
His wife was complaining she had nothing to wear, she had put on a fair bit extra weight during pregnancy and it was staying with her long after giving birth.

Saturday morning they hopped in the car to go shopping, he pulled up in front of Alberta tent and awning and parked.
It was a tense moment then he said if she lost 40 lbs in a year he would buy her a whole new wardrobe.
She did, he did and as far as I know they are still happily married.

I remember a friend buying a goat one night, when he was out partying. It trimmed the willow tree over his porch, on the one side it could reach, as high as it could reach, very nicely, also ate every other plant in his yard. What I remember best, was watching it standing on the picnic table, trimming the willow, and what went in, was coming out the other end like a machine gun. His entire deck, which was built over his garage, got covered in pellets. Seems to me he went dumpster diving at the local Safeway for lettuce and etc for it, as well.

I thought I would show some "class" at our annual hunting camp, so I bought a jar of Scotch -$135. Cracked it, sampled it with the guys. Unanimous-it tasted like bad beer strained through sheep manure. Moral of the story - leave Scotch alone, stick with Kokanee or Canadian, it can't be any crappier than Scotch!!!!

Perhaps a question for another thread:

We've heard all the bad purchases.

Anyone experienced "drunk impulse selling?"

Smile Billy goat

They don't smell very good, be warned. He can jump up on top of just about any thing, put his here through your basement windows if he thinks he should be in the house, he is very smart, like a dog.

He is a browser like a deer, not grass but rose bushes, sheep eat grass.

Now the good news he is not frightened of dogs or coyotes if he still has horns he will lower his head and chase any thing or any body off your lawn. He will probably do it without horns, that may be why he doesn't have any.

They are clean and except for the scent glans between his horns don't smell. They make a good child's pet.

No more of this "finishing" talk.

Does it count, when you go to a whisky tasting, and somehow the vendor had found a couple cases of 1990 Balblair (a 23 year old whisky, which spent the first 20 years of it's life in first fill American oak casks, and then 3 years in fine sherry butts...), and it hasn't been available because it was a limited bottling, and you just have to have 4 bottles....? Maybe this should be in the Scotch thread.

It was a really fine evening though.

LOL. That's priceless! I can see how the marketing slogan on the box lured you in. Definitely my favorite on this thread.

Neighbor has the same one.
It's not to bad for depth finding. Using both at the same time. it was showing suspended fish where my $700.00 unit didn't.
Never did figure out what it was showing.

Well, good to know. Lol. I was hoping to try it this weekend, but the weather has turned a bit and it'll be too cold for the canoe!

For the cost of this, I'm not expecting much at all... better then nothing I guess? Haha

Bought a Henry lever action a couple weeks ago.
Monday past, after about two too many bourban I ordered online a beautiful leather scabbard that suits the rifle to a tee (arrived in today's mail).
Now...if I only owned a horse!!

I wish you scotch haters would stop buying it, the supply is limited and you are just driving the price up with your 'experimenting'. As you said, stick to the kokanee and Canadian, and leave the good stuff for those who appreciate it.

Funny part, from what I recall the box wasn't in the photo list. But when I seen it I sure did laugh as well! I sat and read the manual today..it barely makes sense in English.

Kitchen-aid pro 600 series stand mixer off home shopping channel was the result of late-night channel flipping after a few too many. It'll be here next week. Should be fun one to explain.

My last drunk impulse purchase was the Seek reveal xl in camo. I'm actually glad I did! What a great little device!
