I wont walk for chicken unless I know they are there. Their range is too large to guess where they might be at any time. I scout for them first and last light, flying from cover to feed and back. Cereal crops or a clover rich hay field, bordering pasture with native grass and plenty of shrub/bush, can be productive. Stop and listen. I've often located birds by their clucking.
For huns, find a farm yard and drive around their quarter.
