Default 353 Grizz

Heading up to 353 for moose next week. Anyone up there lately and see any grizzly signs? Just curious because going to be camping out in our outfitter tent for the first time. Any tips from anyone is appreciated

We just got back from a week there, huge grizz numbers, daily sightings, poop everywhere. Low numbers of elk on the ground, moose a bit better, saw 4 in 7 days. Fry Pan creek was full and not much hanging

Last time I was in 353 I saw 6 Grizzlies in 3 days. No shortage of them there. We never had any issues in camp, but you have to be aware.

Avoid gutting and skinning moose in your camp. Hunters that have done this in the past have trained them where to find supper.

X2! We were across the river from 353 in 352 last October and were hunting elk in an area that we saw fresh Grizz sign in the snow we got that morning. We got an elk that evening and decided to get it out of the area with it getting dark and knowing the grizz was probably within 500 yards of the kill site. We processed it down the road a ways from our camp and stored the meat in a truck with a hard box cover on it. The next day we saw where the grizz had followed the drag trail of the elk 7km to where we processed the elk. Very thankful that we processed the elk away from our camp or we more than likely would have had a visitor in camp that night….
We saw tracks in the snow from 3 different grizzlies over that 4 day trip.

Go out in the woods these days, you'd better be bear aware, just about everywhere. The newly paved Bergen road.
