Default ATV winches

So my WARN winch on my SxS Gave up the ghost just wondering if anyone has used the Runva winches? The warns are kinda pricey. Looking at a cheaper model.

Thanks in advance.

I had a runva on my sxs. It was great for the price! I did some long hard pulls with it and never gave up. It would still be running but I took it apart to grease it and lost a clip. Tried to run it without the clip and wrecked it. I would buy another in a hart beat.

Did you convert from a warn winch? If so was it just a simple bolt in and same electrical connections?

No I put it on from new. I won't waste my money on a warn. But you should be able to just bolt it up and use all the warm wiring.

That's what I'm thinking. Bolt pattern is the same. I was also looking at the super winch as well. I believe the warns are a little over priced.

I put a Smitty on my Renegade when the warn died last year. Haven't had a problem yet and it was about $100 cheaper than a Warn from Rapid.

Get what you pay for is my opinion with the winches. Can't tell you how many people I've heard/read bitching about cheaper winches failing.

My 2 cents....Warn or Superwinch. I went with Warn and happy as a clam.

That’s the issue, you pay lots for a warn but don’t get much! Seen lots of warns fail fast! Lots of better winches for cheaper then warn! One nice thing about warn is you can get parts for them, cause you will need parts for them

My quad came with a superwimp. It lasted for 3 winchouts and some snowplowing and gave up when I needed it most.

Bought a champion 4500 (fit just barely in a 700 grizz)

It's been running well for 2 or three years now and I'm quite happy with it.

I just put a 6500lb Keeper winch from Princess Auto on the front of the Kubota, it hasn't seen any action yet. I hope I made the right decision as I have always been a Warn winch guy but couldn't justify the $$$ under the occasional use circumstances. D.H.

Got a prowinch extreme series from coppers in edmonton . Just as good as a warn . Maybe better. Certainly seems easier on my battery than the warn it replaced . Superwinch is ok also but getting any service outta superwinch is impossible but princess auto good about returns

It appears no brand actually lasts that long.

Back in the day, we used to hang the Winches.
Some would burn them we used to hang them.
Teach them a lesson I expect either way.
Happy Hallow ween.

We used to through them in a well. If they floated they were definitely winches. If not, oh well.
