Default Prowlers - need game cam suggestions

Power outage here due to the wind. At 2:45am someone came in the driveway and fortuneatly left. I’d like suggestions for good resolution (faces, plates) cams to stash around here. Reasonably priced would be good. Has to be able to deal with a yard light as well as dark situations.

Parkland county people, be watching for a built two tone older pickup. Cause yard light was out, can’t tell you brand or colour, just very out of place at that time. Truck was 70’s/80’s.

Oh - good time for info on those (ptz?) automatic aiming video cameras as well please. Preferably with recorder, not just web.

Thanks

Reconyx - but it'll cost you.

Not sure what you intend to do with the pictures/vids. Cops won't take them or use them unless a violent crime is committed. Property crime is rarely investigated, fill out a report and contact your insurance.

If your property is fenced, the best investment is to install a heavy gate with a locking latch that can't be cut with bolt cutters. Most of the meth heads and Rez crews only carry simple tools, and the more obstacles you put up the sooner they move on. No master locks that can be removed with a hammer, and keep your stuff (quads, outboards, gas, tools) inside and windows covered.

If it's a pro crew they will have battery powered grinders and such, and there's no real way to stop them if you're not home.

When I worked for a security company we would always use Uway (now Ridgetec) because they took the best night time photos and had the least amount of problems. Anytime we did have a problem it just needed the firmware updated.

One of the best things you could do is get a motion activated light with a battery back up. If you have a detached garage it is a good idea to put one inside that will activate when the doors are opened.
