Post 360-Snipe Lake

Just wondering if anybody is hunting around snipe lake, or north of the lake, and what there seeing... I drove all over Snipe into 351, and saw 0 ruffies . Last year was like this as well, 4 years ago, you would see no joke 50! Saw one fawn, no moose or even bear!

On another note has anyone been fishing the lake? Too busy this year to get out so far, but last year caught 7-9lbs walleye and a 18 pound jack, but the lake has been hit hard, fishing has went to sh*t.

Haven't ever hunted around Snipe, but I have some REALLY sweet spots for ruffies closer to town! Last night I seen 11 and limited out at 5! Was great!

As far as Snipe fishing, yes that's been a really good lake. I have my personal best pike out of that lake, as well as lots of perch and whitefish. Congrats on a great walleye, though!! Do you have any pics of it?

How long have you been in town?

I have my moose draw up there this year and this is not what I wanted to here. Damn!! I fished Snipe lake this year and was pretty successful. Numerous Jack and 5 Walleye over 5 lbs. Jack were in and around 3-5 lbs. nothing big but still fun to fish.

I live in 360 and last year is the first year I didn't fill my moose tag, population has declined rapidly. Talked to Fish & Wildlife last year they said Moose tags will be cut in half in the near future, their going extinct.

I paddled the Little Smokey River from Valleyview to HP a few falls back. Never done a river trip that time of year and seen so few moose tracks. There are many stretches of river that I wouldn't bother hunting for moose that have significantly more moose sign on them.

Our cabin is in 360, wife has the moose tag this year.
Son had the tag last year, I was very close to a good bull in Oct, the kid was at home, ugh.
I know there are wolves in the area but haven't given up on the moose just yet.
