Default 312 antlerless elk, where'd they go?

trying to mentor couple new hunters to first animals and figured this would be a decent opportunity for them, cept where i found hundreds and hundreds last year on my permissions i haven't spotted a single one, landowner looking for friends also and same thing, nowhere to be found, some around in december but with jan tags and 9 days left hoping some move back into area, i keep watching in mean time, if anyone knows where they are and want a few elk thinned out we are the trouble free kind of crew, very appreciative of opportunity also, like to also help get elk out for people landowners/friends etc. on same permissions while the tracked quad is handy during this season...just holler (pm likely best), i'll bring the newbies, rifle, and all the gear to make it easy peasy

always next year but i know these seasons are there to thin these herds out...want to help and introduce newbs at same time...win win imo

Try looking between Plumber's road and 22x off 22. See them every morning that I go that way. They were there on Monday morning. Not sure about permissions but let me know if you are able to get any. I don't have a tag but would be interesting to know if land-owners in that area are reasonable about access. If coming from Calgary on 22 look for a Hay for Sale sign. The herd was out just west of that sign monday and have been hanging in that area for the last three weeks.
Good luck.
