Giordano needs to have a CHAT with his defensmen and tell them allowing 52 shots on goal is UNACCEPTABLE!! Smith has been surreal !!
A lot of so called experts thought that Smith would be the "weak" link for the Flames in the playoffs  He's manned up and elevated his game while Johnny Hockey has gone MIA..unacceptable

Goes deeper than defence giving up 50 plus shots per game. Forwards are coughing it up. Which is half the reason for the shots...but more blocking would be good.

Haven't actually watched any games yet. How have they been? Smash and bang playoff hockey? Any grit shown?

Absent probably best describes it.. lol. I think it’s a combination of avs playing fast and well, and some of the flames arnt playing up to potential. The perfect storm so to speak.

The Avs have been the faster/better team and the Flames can’t keep up with them. If not for Smith standing on his head the score would have been a lot worse.

The Flames finished 2nd overall...and were the best 3rd period team ALL season!
The last 5 minutes of the 3rd period was a disaster!
They are being outplayed at every aspect of the game and being outcoached as well!
It's not over but they better find another gear for game 5...if they can force a Game 7 on home ice it could get interesting ....

Agree, the amount of shots against is crazy to think, and also how Avs are just entering the zone with ease, no need to dump the puck when you can constantly just walk in and start passing around..

Someone here might have mentioned this or I heard it on the radio this afternoon, the Flames forwards are being forced outside for shots and the AV's forwards are being allowed to dance in right down the middle and using Smith as a shooting gallery Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Flames luck - Breakaway and he misses the net, but Avs can bank it off Smith from behind the net. Pretty much sums up the series.
