Default Possibly something to carry for birds

Was on YouTube and saw this thing come up its called a pocket shot they say it will shoot up to 350 fps. I wonder if this would work for grouse and such while out big game hunting. It would be pretty quite and seems to have some power.
What do you guys think.

Default Pocket shot

I do not think I would buy one. I my self would prefer an air pistol due to the accuracy. I definitely think if you worked at it and got to be a good shot this would be a very viable option for birds but its just a step out of my comfort zone. The other thing that I wonder about it is will the rubber dry out like a slingshot, if so is it a full replace or just a new band? If you get it I would be interested to see how long it takes you to become competent with it.

Their website says the "pocket" needs to be replaced after a couple hundred shots

It looks ergonomically awkward. Hard to repeat the same hold, I would think. I am not sure it would hit 350, but I think a regular slingshot with good bands would be close to 300. I will have to chrony one.

I would take a regular slingshot with wrist brace, or a Crosman .22 air pistol. Either the 2240, or the 1322.

I shot my first grouse this past hunting season with a regular sling shot and bought one of these pocket shots a couple months ago with the intent to carry it around with me while hunting or fishing in the fall. I have not got much practice in yet, but it is fun to shoot. I am curious what kind of velocity one will get shooting regular ammo with the arrow pouch that is coming out soon.

Someone tried to reinvent the sling shot.

Looks akward to me, and I suspect much harder to aim.

No thanks. I can build a regular sling shot that will do all I need it to do.

I had a hand bag made of Elk skin with a sling off of the long carrying strap to hold the rifle barrel out front then had a little loop to lock my gun butt in as it rested on the bag ..could carry over 10 grouse in bag ..always use a 22LR and have found that the noise does not bother Ungulates that much .. I will get bucks and bulls too even wait in area till I bag/box grouse then change guns .

here is one post on road hunting and it has little effect if shooting a 22LR as we got Grouse/Rabbit/Buck.. then Grouse other trips see deer with 22LR in hand ..lmao

Carrying two guns worth it though?
