Love this thing!
Had a blast last season out in MB and ON.
Several upgrades over the winter and fine tuned the fishing set up.
C'mon May 15th!!
My favourite upgrade...
She catches Fish!
And she's Zip in Z Approved!
Cheers,
Scott.

No never had it there, I usually get a week or two in at Shaw's on Lesser Slave, otherwise I just stay close to home, west of Edmonton.

Even my 1875 whitewater amazes me where it will go! The thing I will miss is the fuel economy my boat has. The Yamaha just sips gas!

Going to put that on my boat when I get it! I will drive it once stock then put that on so I can compare. The posi nozzle works good? Can you throw a good shower tower?

Really happy with my Princecraft Xpedition 170, bought it in 2013. Would like to upgrade to a 20ft boat now that the kids are getting older. But handles rough water great, lots of storage, and seating options. The 115 optimax is great on fuel and given me no issues so far. Cant wait to get her into the water!

Nozzle only has bushings to adjust stream, it's not allowing vertical trim of the jet. The system is worth every penny. Going to an 89mm bushing made my boat twice as agile

I also have the sport track on my Tyee and decided to mount using a pedestal mount.
I ran manual downriggers for years and never had an issue.
This year I upgraded to electric.
My new electric is under the gunnel with a solid backing plate. I used a 1" thick poly carbonate board roughly 5" wide and maybe 12" long.
Personally - I wouldn't use the sport track to mount anything more than a rod holder. Although it supposed to be fine - it just didn't "feel solid enough" when considering you have a 10-20 lead ball hanging off a arm dangling over the side of the boat as the waves pitch you around.
Here's what the sport track mount looks like ........
.........really doesn't inspire confidence for me .........
(you can see a perfectly solid gunnel there with a nice wide flat and strong surface, so why not use it?)

Oh I always thought it was a trim nozzle as well.

Have you taken it to the coast yet? I can't be bothered to fish here anymore, after being in the big water chasing real fish

Sounds like a perfect set up, it's the big brother to my 2001 1775 Pro V SE, I am also running Yamaha power and Lowrance Electronics (due for an upgrade next year).

Placed my order last week. Pick it up April 27. Tracker Grizzly 1654 Sportsman MVX w/40 Merc and Minn-Kota Powerdrive 55 ipilot bow mount trolling motor. Ordered it in the woodland camo pattern instead of grassland. Will just use my current 570 Humminbird for electronics for now.

I was too, just stop at terrace on the way out, back into the river and let the engines idle until warm. Then you can wash out everything else too, and the river water flushes the trailer and brakes.
Brakes are cheap

Two summers ago I bought this older ski boat off a friend's family as something that would get me on the water but was also something I could play with and work on. I got way more than I asked for. I spent the first winter doing a gel coat restoration and rebuilding the trailer, which went well - but the first time I had it out last spring with my girlfriend the motor died and it stranded us at Travers at the far end of the lake. Turned out the motor was ingesting water through old cracked exhaust baffle gaskets - lots of damage. A new boat or outboard wasn't in the cards, so my entire summer last year was spent rebuilding my motor. Learned a ton, had some fun, and have a new powerplant. I had it out twice before the ice hit and it runs great, boat does 45 MPH again (and sounds unreal for those 2 stroke fans). The only other thing I got done was installing a HB Helix 5 DI.
Plan for 2017: Actually use the boat... and transom mounted Minn Kota trolling motor, custom removable bow fishing platform, rod holders and mounts, etc.

First boat ever
nothing fancy. We bought a 15' open bow tri- hull with a 90hp Johnson. Older boat, but good enough to get out on a few lakes and enjoy the summer.
