White fish on sheep

Nothing to brag about, Just wanted to share a pic my pal took. Its a pretty lousy picture but hes lousy with the camera so I was holding the line to get him in cause I couldn't get to the net.
Just a little white fish on the sheep. A foot or so not that big. I caught 4 and he caught like 15. some of his were quite bigger than that but it was his lol. The one in the basket is his

They're nice fish. There has always been lots of whitefish on the Sheep, its just that they are easier to catch on lures. Since I mostly fly fish on that river, I didn't get as many. But I haven't fished it in a few years now.

I never thought anyone would use a lure on the sheep. We always use fly's. Interesting though, what kind of set up/ technique would you use?

They respond extremely well to small 1/8 oz. panther martins on light line with spinning gear.

Got my first ever white on the Red Deer River west of Innisfail yesterday on a tiny orange/green Rapala. Definitely need tiny lures when fishing these rivers that are mostly whites and trout...#TinyMouths #TinyLures
