I run that river a lot but I have a jet boat. Right now you might be okay with a 9.9 (I assume a prop outboard) because the water level is high from all the rain. Once the river settles down, there are a lot of shallow spots that may be tough on a prop.

Default very weedy

I was out on the river in the jet boat on tuesday night. It is really high right now and dirty. All the algae that was growing on the rocks is still there and lots floating in the river. If your careful with the 9.9 it will go a ways but still lots of rocks and and gravel bars that is gonna stop you. be careful and have fun. I would suggest going up river first, can always float home. lol
