I wasn't much of a fan of rage before, and now after watching that, I know for sure that I'll never use them. Bone bursting chisel tip eh? You mean, when it hits bone, the tip bursts. Now, to go look up some videos of slick tricks....

Both Rage broadheads didn't seem to fare too well in the bone test.
No big deal as many blades, tips and arrows are damaged when they encounter bones.
What's a package of them worth here in Alberta.
Don
PS: Sure like the flight path of those arrows with hidden blades.

I have used the same Goldtip Hunter XT on two mule deer, an elk, and a coyote and it's still the first arrow in my quiver (changed the broadhead to a new one each time).

My little buck this year was a good test for me on the slick tricks that I use. My arrow deflected off of a little bit of brush, and somehow ended up in the base of the skull, smack dab in the middle of the spine. The impact was a total surprise to me, as I was aiming at the chest of the deer with his head to the right, and slightly quartering away. The broadhead was lodged into the spine, and the Easton bloodline that I was using, was frayed a bit at the tip where the insert goes, much like when you hit a rock or something solid. I am impressed with the outcome of the broadhead. All it seems to need is some replacement blades, and it should be reusable. Here are a few pics.

Lady Luck helped you out there! Didn't even wreck an ounce of meat I bet.

It was definitely dumb luck lefty. I knew it was a spine shot right away when I saw the deer drop instantly. I was flabbergasted when I saw where the first arrow ended up. I figured that it'd be sticking out of the spine on his right side, not perfectly in the middle of the spine. I would never take a shot like that on purpose. Luck had me eating some tasty venison this winter. As I've heard around the bowhunting scene many times. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!! I did put another arrow through the chest to finish him off. He wasn't getting up to run off with that injury, but he wasn't dying quickly either. So I put one through the lungs for a quicker expiry.
I'm an opportunist when it comes to hunting. I don't get enough time to scout out the big ones, so I generally take the ones that give me the opportunity. I'm happy with meat in the freezer. And with that said, I'm pretty sure that slick trick broadheads will have a place in my quiver for many years to come!

I have used Hunter XT for 3d and hunting. For target I use Goldtip XXX or Series 22. For 3d I have used Series 22, X-cutter, and Hunter XT.

Gold Tips are awesome. Shooting XT Hunters right now. Don't know how many times I have done a flex test expecting the arrow to fold or crack, but nothing. Back in the quiver and ready to go.

I've been using fixed solid blade tips for a few years and am thinking it's about time too try the flooding blade units.
Been using a bow mounted quiver, so the blades should stay folded away ok I'm thinking.
