Default Vortex Viper Spotter Value

Hi all,
I just took a very clean (I would say 'as new' pretty much) Vortex Viper
20-60x80 spotting scope (not the 'HD' model) and doubt I will get much use out of it really. I googled and pretty much all prices are for the 'HD' model at around $1329 plus tax......other than that the Vortex site lists these as discontinued with a "MSRP" price of $999 American. I don't want to undersell it and don't want to be crazy either when listing it or as a trade value. It came from a reputable outdoorsman in the factory box complete with manual and neoprene cover (all of which is very clean). I am quite familiar with quality scope values, but limited in spotting scopes so any ballpark numbers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again everyone.
Gary.

Sounds like some fairly poor optics. I don't want you to feel like you got shafted on the spotting scope so I'll offer you $100 so you can recoup some of you investment.

These should give you a ballpark range.
