Think you will see the start of good movement next 7 days. They are 8 hours south around Nodak in good numbers for the start. With good weather coming up and proper winds , just around the corner! Another few weeks and we will be in the thick of things

Small number just got here in Alberta but not enough to really get excited about yet. There are a pile not to far south of the border from what I am told. I'm thinking another 2 weeks of decent weather but who knows

I am not trying to be a smart ass but for those who have not hunted snows before, please know the difference between snows and swans. There are quite a few swans passing through my area and I have seen one group of hunterish looking guys glassing them.

Every year a few are shot by mistake around Frank Lake in the fall. With the spring season I would expect many newbies to take to the fields. For those out for the first time know what your hunting.

Out where I hunt, there are TONS of them and this can't be said enough. Know the difference, thats a KEY to hunting. Shooting the birds is the easiest part, the practicing of shot technique, learning how birds move and act, decoy placement, scouting AND identifying species. Please take the time, do some research and some homework and go have fun

Default Is this what you're looking for?

Firstly, I don't hunt but I'm not against it so here goes. I understand that there is a snow goose season here this spring and I may have found some that looked nearly low enough to shoot at, last week east of Drumheller. Not thousands, but certainly hundreds and coming through fairly regularly. I also found and reported what may have been a poached cow moose head in the area so heads up and be safe out there. GN

Angry Went looking for Geese today

I spent a few hours looking for geese this morning east of Strathmore.
There were a few and a number of Tundra Geese/Swans. Sadly the Turndra's were the only ones I got close too...
