Default Fox and Geese....

Today for the first time, I saw a fox actually get a Canada goose in a field, it was so cool. I didn't have any chance to pull over or grab a picture, it happened so quick. I had seen the fox in a field on the east side of highway on my way to work, just sitting there. About three hours later, heading home, I noticed that the field on the west side was full of geese, and then WHAM! This fox came out of a little draw that I hadn't even noticed and had a goose by the neck in seconds, it was flapping and thrashing like crazy....fox dragged him back down into the draw and was gone in a flash.

Mr Fox will eat good for a few days if he can keep his big brothers from finding that goose. Cool to see for sure.

last fall I was in my layout blind
and all of a sudden one of my decoys went sailing over top of
I sat up like WTF just happened
and there was a fox standing there with the most confused look on its face
all I could was laugh
it must have thought they were real geese and figured it had it lunch
until it pounced on the decoy
sure got a major surprise I'm thinking

Neat! The most I have seen is them pouncing on mice and pooping on my mole traps.

Default coyote beating by geese

Saw two geese staking out a frozen slough for a nesting sight beat the tar out of a coyote that came too close a few years back.Harold
