Funny Fishing Stories

I just thought that Maby some of us could share some of the wacky things that have happened while we have been out there in search of Monsters that lurk below. I know if I had a camcorder out there a few times , well lets just say AFV here we come. I was out with a good friend just a few weekends ago , it was some what chilly to say the least. So as any good angler does I dressed for the weather. So here I am standing over my hole. Using the Jedi mind trick to get a bite , Oh come on now we all have a lil fish dance or silly lil prayer we whisper under our breath so as not to look the fool in front of the other guys. Anyways... There I am standing over m hole. When I hear fellow fisher of men from behind say " Hey , How they bite'n ? " . As I turned to say not so good. There was a scream like I have never heard before , His 5 year old girl who had been standing right next to him @ the time , was now turning and bless her little hart trying to run away. But her little feet were just no match for the slippery ice. So after a little burn out right there on the spot she fell down "hard". Still screaming at the top of her lungs. Her father scooped her up in his arms and tried to comfort her to with lil to no success. I asked if she was OK. With a giggle he replied "She will be if you take off that mask". Never even thought of it did I . Needless to say even after the mask was off she didn't like me ) I am sure there is a lesson to be learned here But I be damned if I can figure it out.

I went Sturgeon Fishing for the first time with my buddy Scratch on the NSR up here in Edmonton last Spring. Uhm... just as I landed mine... after 10-20 minutes of playing it... I dang near had it knocked off the line by a dead Pelican. Uhm.. then to top the day off he got a double header of fish.

Uhm yah.. camera was rolling. The craziest stuff happens everytime we go out.

PS - No really, the craziest stuff happens. In part one.. the day before.. Scratch snagged a line off the bottom of the river that had a Sturgeon on it too.
