Last 2 teammates to win the Hart trophy back to back were Gretzky and Messier. Might see a repeat this year.

One Alberta team in first place, another out of a playoff spot. Perfect.

Same points, more wins than toronto. That's first.
Toronto has 3 games in hand though

Was a great win, the team defense was really good last night, everyone on the ice backchecking hard, that's the way it has to be, playoff hockey

Someone has to knee cap McDavid.....! That guy looks fast standing still. Hope he gets the accolades he deserves but playing in Edmonton he's playing under the shadows of the "Great One"...........and will need a few cups to get those. Amazing player to watch though.............but the jets will hold their own, they're up there. PLD has not proven his worth yet, we need him to come of age soon.

As I was watching the game last night, I was thinking a lot about what an absolute gift from the heavens it is to have McDavid playing for my favourite team and getting to watch him play every night. I can't remember if it was Michaels or DeBrusk, but they were talking about a game between two very even teams, the only difference is one of them has the best player in the world. So true....

It's true about McDavid being in Edmonton too. If he played in Vegas, Boston, Chicago, LA, or gag, Toronto, I think he'd be a mega-star. I don't think most NHL fans around the league have a true appreciation for what an incredible player he is.

Seeing the dumpster fire in Buffalo, and thinking about him playing there, it's hard to even imagine. He'd be truly buried, and I would have only seen him play maybe twice a year and on the nightly highlights. Perish the thought.

I've only done two "happy dances" in my life, one was the first dance at my wedding, the other was the moment I saw that Edmonton Oilers card at the draft lottery show in 2015...

There's an oiler or two in quite a few of those categories.

That Canada Dry is pretty expensive/fancy stuff...

It turns out its red wine.... I figured my old mix standby cream soda would do the trick.

I'll have to go do a bottle depot run.... then see if the IGA has Canada Dry.

Bring on Saturday.

Conner McDavid is the the cheat code for the NHL..... he heeeee! I just read that one...... so true. What a treat.

anyone know if they're selling tix for december...?

He's once in a generation player for sure. The speed with which he plays the game is something to behold. As I said he looks fast standing still and even when he's just gliding he looks effortless and yet his sweater looks like he's at full tilt.............

I was a hard game to cheer for either of them, the loss keeps the leaf's within striking distance of us in 1st place, but the win gets the shames closer to us on the back side, with a couple games in hand, going to be interesting coming down the stretch, a 4 game loosing streak can burry you or a 4 game winning streak can separate us tonight's games are huge again, we need to beat the jets and not worry about what anyone else does

I know there’s still lots of hockey left and anything can happen but if we keep going at this pace I would rather have the Oil play Montreal, Vancouver or Calgary in the playoffs than Winnipeg in the first round. Preferably Calgary due to there first round flop history. I agree though the Oilers need to focus on the Jets for now .

I as well would prefer seeing the oilers play Ottawa/Buffalo/Calgary type hockey clubs.
