Default Afga land

Just curious ive never hunted there before , it states foot access only .

My question is, if you kill an animal in there can you use a motorized vehicle to retrieve? I assume the answer is no but though i would ask !

Some of the land has stubble on it and no fences so access would be quite easy with an ATV, but do not want to break any rules !

foot access only....if you walk in and kill an animal, then walk out to get your ATV to drive in, kind of makes the "foot access" only moot?, enjoy the next month, best month of the year

Which quite simply means"foot access only". How could you make it any plainer?

Cool

This is not the friendly fishing section bud . All the "pros" here lack tact to help others . Your questions will be met with distain unless your in one of the cliques. Lol hmm any of the posters got a 5x5 elk this yr lol .so no DB if you make a kill on the land you cannot use a vehicle to retrieve said game . Sorry for the rude reply from our other well thought of members .

Yah they can only use parachutes....or hovercrafts.

I wonder if around a "wet paint" sign if you mysteriously get paint on your hands?

Oh and I took a 6x7 elk with my bow does that count towards the score being kept?

LC

Hey Dan, there have been lots of great animals taken on ACA and AFGA lands. Great thing about them is you don't need to get permission to access most of them. They all allow foot access only. Just need to check the web as a few DUC sites may require a call to access. http://www.albertadiscoverguide.com/....cfm?mode=grid

Nope foot access only means foot access only before during and after the shot

I got suspended for much less. Anyways its a real pain in the butt took us 7 hrs and 8 trips to get a moose out.. was out lastnight in a walk in only. Saw about a 40-46 inch moose. Would have been a 12 hr retrieve. Get buddies. My suggestion. Good luck.

Pack, game cart, calf sled...plenty of options to get your deer outta there...1 deer and 4 km really isn't so bad...no guts, no hide and if you take it a step further and bone it out a deer doesn't weigh a whole heck of a lot...

Good luck!
