Question Butcher paper...I need some!

We are almost out of paper (guess I should have checked before we got some critters!). Just called Hirsche Meats in Okotoks which is where I bought it last time but they no longer sell it. Also called Longview Meats. We would like a big roll, not the little ones you can find at Extra Foods or wherever...Any suggestions on a place where I can buy it? I hate to drive into Calgary but will if I have to.
Maybe one of youse guys has a roll they don't need after switching to one of them new-fangled food saver machines! (Yes, we looked into those. No, we can't afford one right now!)

Halford Hide, CTR refrigeration, I've never seen big rolls anywhere but at those places or other butcher supply stores.

As an alternative have a big party tomorrow and cook it all up on the BBQ!

Heres a thought...all my stuff i wrap in saran wrap and use zip lock bags. Works great to prevent freezer burn as well.

Yeah, good idea!! What are we supposed to eat for the rest of the year?
Halford Hide has closed their Calgary shop. I guess CTR may be the place. Someone else mentioned it too.

I wrap using ziploks or saran, THEN butcher paper! Then I draw little deer or moose heads on the paper...haha!!

CTR has large rolls, and get the stand that holds it as well. Well worth the money. And I figure it is about 1/4 the cost of buying the paper in the "small" rolls at the grocery store.

Wholesale sports carries it. I bought a roll last year. Works great. I think they are 300 feet or something like that. Big roll. Did 4 deer and a cow elk with it.

I guess I will call Costco first as it is closest. A friend of ours made us a big roll holder/cutter a few years ago...it does work great!

Five minutes later...Costco in Okotoks does not carry it.

Not sure how much I have left, but you're welcome to what I have. I'm not home until late tonight, so I can let you know once I check. I live off the dump road in between Okotoks and High River.

Thanks! Got your PM...we will take that!!
I have enough to wrap our little whitetail tomorrow; then it is on to half an elk and half a moose!

I find wine helps make wrapping more enjoyable...
