YOU ARE TAKING THE COURSE NOW....yeah I have already taken it so I think I know a little bit more about this then you. You havent even passed yet. Come back when you are actually a qualified hunter

Take the course again.
Elk aren't only in the mountains.

Look it up on Wikipedia if you are too cheap or lazy to take the course.

This is the dumbest thing I have read on AO ever.....

I am taking the course online now, and you challenged it?
How did you even pass the firearms course?

Edit, Also if I were you I woulkd surrender all my firearms and never hunt again. Although if I were you, I would have probably killed my self for being so stupid.

I can see mixing up different deer species, but the picture is clearly an elk, no way you can have passed a hunter ed course and not know that the animal in your picture is an elk imo

If this is a trolls thread so be it, it is what it is. As far as being more understanding to novice hunters.....that is beyond being understanding. Mistaking a mule for whitetail or vice versa fine, i understand. But an elk, holy moly. The one rule i have in my camp within regards to new hunters is they dont hunt by themselves on my land until i personally say theyre good to go. Which usually means hunting by my side for at least a couple trips

Ok so I googled pictures of elk and there range and it looks like I am wrong. I am sorry, but its an honest mistake. We all make mistakes sometimes. I guess its not that bad because I missed it, so I really didnt do anything wrong.

I am taking the course so that I can legally optain a hunting lincense.
Also I'm not one of those guys that will check the box knowing I haven't taken hunter.
I grew up shooting and with animals.
I believe though a course should be taken and not challenged.

Case in point, that is an ELK

I know far more than you ever will.

Did you Wikipedia Elk yet?

Did you find the cream cloured rump yet?

Have you ever seen a mule deer without forked antlers?

What colours are their tails dummy?

You make me sick.

Qualified my F'in ass

Not trying to be an ***** about this, but if you can mistake a deer for an elk, maybe you should go back and make bloody sure you missed it.

Lexi hunter - Maybe you should hunt for Jackalope instead? I will be in WMU 999 this weekend as I heard there's some record sized ones in there. I could meet you at the Timmies and I could mentor you on how to hunt them.

Yah, I think you should go back and redo your course....

Oh and it is more likely to mistake 2 bears rather than 2 different species altogether....

Before you go hunting you have to know what you are hunting for, for example just like fishing when you go fish the nsr and catch a walleye thinking its a pike and you keep that walleye thinking its a pike you are commiting an offence, its 1000$ per fish illegally taken so i cannot imagine what an offence is for an elk taken thinking its a deer, but it shouldnt come to that in the first place so know your species but since your trolling anyways this is for all the other dummies reading this.
