Default stainless optilock base

Just wondering if anyone has coated or painted stainless bases black.

More cosmetic than anything, just too cheap to buy other bases.

Thanks for the input

I have seen chemical treatments that will blacken stainless steel. No experience with them tho.

I used a black indelible marker on a set of Leupold rings. Easy to do, held up fine and just touched them up every couple of years.

Trades I would interested in:
- Sightron rifle scopes, 4.5x14x42mm or 4x16x42mm
especially! with the HHR reticle. (no duplex pls.)
- older 6x fixed scopes with fine X or target dot.

Default stainless optllock base

Thanks for the replies.

definitely look at some of these options.

Kind of funny doesn't matter if I wear 2 different colored socks, but the rifle

needs to match!

Can’t blame ya there, birds and animals won’t see your socks shining at the worst possible moment when the sun comes out from behind that cloud,I hate any kind of high gloss on my guns,be it stainless or bluing or high gloss scopes wutever.
Doesn’t need to be camo but matte black parts and dull finish stocks minimum for me.....gloss and shine is for safe queens.
