another hunter is shooting a 300 RUm loaded wth 165 grain nosler partions, bullet speed of 2892 fps
and the fourth hunter is shooting a 308 norma magnum loaded wth 165 grain nosler partions, bullet speed of 2892 fps
which bullet is going to hit the hardest and kill the best, if all four were to shoot a seperate, animal, ( WT DEER )at 300 yards, in the exact same same spot eg high shoulder shot ????????

I would vote for a 7mmSAUM with 160 Nosler Partitions, bullet speed 2892. Not only would it hit harder it would do it with much less powder and recoil in a neat light gun. Don't think the deer would know which killed bullet killed him the best. Wonder how many idiots are going to call me an idiot for my choice?

If all things were created equal, (ie bullet type / weight, whatever powder the particular rifle and it's case preferred, and they are all loaded equally, then they are equal...

Guess everyone checked and found that the 7mmSAUM had 79 ft lbs more energy at 300 yards. The sectional density of the 160 part is .283 lbs/square inch and the 165 partition is .248 lbs/square inch. Given equal expansion the 7mm bullet will generate more ft lbs/square inch which translates into more penetrating energy.
Lets assume the deer is 500 yards out and I had decided to take my Rem Model 7, 20" barrel, 7mm08 loaded with Nosler 160 Accubonds at 2670 fps. Would the 165 Nosler Partitions at 2892 from the 300WSM hit harder and kill the deer any better? MY ANSWER IS NO!

The RUM because the shame of being shot by one would do more damage than any bullet ever could

Or you could put away the toys and use a 338 lapua mag and throw a 300 grain bullet out at 2800ft/sec and just know there is enough energy no matter how far you are shooting as long as you can hit the target.

1000 rounds minimum for every gun! You have to be ready when the zombies come.

According to the poll, the RUM wins. I still think the hardest hitting comes from Chuck Norris' round-house kick.

Except the Weatherby with its radiused shoulder and large freebore was so inaccurate, it didn't hit the deer
