Default good fishing near spruce (not wabamun)

ive heard hasse lake is dead, spring lake not sure how one even gets there to fish with everything blocked off. is there some decent fishing close to spruce that has public access. not looking for wabamun

Was gonna say wabamun but if thats not the case then east pit lake is not bad, Beautiful quiet area.

Yeah I was going to suggest East Pit for trout. Although, if you plan on keeping any, just letting you know, they taste like mud.

just for sport fishing. ill be putting them back. is there access to the lake with a public road or park and walk in?

There is public access/ parking area. You do have to do a short 3-5 minute walk to the water. The place is pretty nice.

Jackfish lake. Tons of walleyes (some good size) and pike. Small perch too. Fish the mornings and evenings to avoid water sport boats.

thank you for that as well. i fished jack fish lake as a kid many years ago. public access to if i remember right.

Muir lake is a possibility but it is fly fishing only I think, Star lake , chicakoo lake as well all stocked trout lakes . lac ste Anne walleye pike , lac la nonne.pike Devils lake Pike ,

Hasse Lake has been stocked again for the first time in many years. Try Salters Lake by Onoway for trout and Devil’s Lake east of Onoway for pike and perch.
