Give it a try. It's the lower priced Browning bolt action but that doesn't mean it won't do everything that you need it to.

The older ab2s were nicer in the hands and a better rifle imo.you are better off with a used one of them than a ab3

research the Winchester XPR some good prices with combo scope. Also made by Browning.
