Question Shotgun chokes

Well I am slowly getting closer to making a decision on a shotgun but I do have a question. As far as chokes go, how often would a guy be messing around with them. Keep in mind I am not planning on doing any hard core shooting, I hope to get out to bust some clays every few weeks and maybe hunt a bit of upland. For now that would be it. If I bought a gun and only had Impoved cylinder, Modified and Full would I be limiting myself in any big way??

Thanks for your help

PS, I poked around a bit and it looks like those are the only 3 that are available for the gun.

12 guage?
Modified for steel and clay bird shooting with lead,
I like IMP/CYL for upland.

Those three chokes would be more than adequate and not much call for a full choke these days. Most steel shooting is done with modified or improved and those two will cover most upland and clays applications as well.

Yup, IMP/CYL for the first barrel, and mod for the second....

I would have to diagree with TJ about the full choke. Later in the season chasing roosters or partridge they are really jumpy and although a full choke isnt necessary, its nice to be able to put a little more lead in that small space.

I do agree Mod, Cyl, and full would do it. You can always buy some Briley waterfowl chokes and some skeet chokes if you decide later.
