7.5 is my guess. Looks like a false annuli between year 5-6

7 for sure and possibly 8, one is hard to tell, no matter he's a beauty

I believe him to be 10 -11 , his last three years growth are short ones but way to deep to be false ,

Gonna go with 7.5, he's done well, there are claims the further north in Alberta you go, the tighter the curl because of slower growth rates.

He’s 10.
OP, do we know his real age or are we just guessing until it turns into a argument?

I would only be guessing at his age cause I can’t tell on this iPad. He sure is tight.

I’m getting 8.5. The 3 circles appear to be false annuli (to me at least). Definitely not seeing 10 years on this sheep.

Such a tight curled guy hey? Wow

Default Nice Ram age test

I only count 7. Few false ones in there
Then again, I’ve only been learning about sheep for a few months. Some seem to be much tougher than others

Yes the lamb tips are almost 100% in tact here

A little less. Tough to be “accurate” while editing a photo haha. Maybe 3/4” less

This is why alberta can never rely on age for sheep harvests

8, or 8.5 depending on your preference. No question.
As far as bighorns go, that particular ram is not hard to age.
