New number 2 whitetail
For all you other whitetail junkies..Been seeing news of this giant whitetail out of Indiana. A young guy ( Dustin Huff) that just happen to climb into the right tree at the right time. Kinda nice to see a regular guy get a monster. Hunting in the states seems to be going the way of big money now a days so kinda nice to see someone who had no clue a giant was around knock him down. At a score of 211 4/8 he beat out the Jordan buck from 1914 who was second only to the Hanson buck. Congrats to the hunter.

I’d heard the score was gonna be announced today. Jordan Buck held that spot for a long time. It’s quite a deer

Is it officially #2 after the 60 drying period?
I looked and didn’t see any new updates on the score considering January 4th would have been 60 days…

It will have to be scored by a panel
Then it’s place in history will be determined

It is past the 60 days. Guessing score won't change even if it hasn't been panelled.

No. The nt inches would be a deduction to the net frame.

Yes, gross score overall would go down. His net typical would go up. I don't know the numbers but let's say he has a gross typical frame of 215. Thats without adding the abnormal point, which is what you do when you score a rack for a typical. Subtract 2 inches from that for side to side difference, so 213. Then subtract 1 1/2 inches from that for abnormal point. Puts him at 211 1/2 net typical. Without that abnormal point he is real close to 213 and Milo.

That’s a great deer. Glad to see average joe take it.
He must have been using like 100 cellular trail cameras to nail that one down.

Looks like it’ll beat Jordan’s buck as expected and gave Milo’s #1 a run for it’s money. Incredible deer!
