Default Mad Cow Alberta

Well, looks real bad for our Alberta Farmers/Ranchers. China and Philippines have stopped buying our beef because of one cow. Maybe our CWB in half the Province 'Chickens are coming home to roost'. Prions are Prions!

China is looking to punish us for our humanitarian stance and the Huawei thing. Look for more of the same, the cow just provides justification.

I can’t find where in the province the case was, I haven’t seen that anyways. I think that concern though is why the government is trying to kill most of the deer out east.

Good, then they can start paying a 75% increase for our oil and livestock feed.

CFIA says small amount of feed likely cause of Alberta mad cow disease case

Apparently we haven't figured out feeding animals to animals doesn't work.

Which case are you refering to? This one was as recent as I saw
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...-bse-1.6290677

The one where 1:1,000,000 rarity, and the US has had 6 cases since 2018

it seems the Chinese look to any excuse to stop imports of Canadian AG products. The latest BSE case is atypical — meaning it is a form of BSE that can occur naturally in older cattle — as opposed to classical BSE, caused by an animal eating contaminated feed. Kind of dementia in old folks
still cause for concern for our beef folks, as it will cause a stir and some disruption. Maybe we can blame it on COVID ?

The CBC report is the case I saw. It does not make sense that 2 now 3 countries would restrict our beef if it is a so called "Common Atypical case" which US had 6 cases in last few years. Seems China will do anything to make us Canadians look bad these days, we should not have put their little lady under house arrest in Vancouver.

What’s interesting is that countries who are known for eating dogs and cats and various other critters in and various organs are now telling us what’s healthy and what’s not.

They'll just buy it from the states and Cargill will just send beef down south and overseas. In a few months those countries will be back buying AB beef.

I on a lot of levels we are witnessing what happens when a country with little financial or military clout, is represented on an international level by a leader who has become an international joke.

Exactly. The same guy that in his big gun ban a few months ago, managed to ban a website thinking it was a gun. Oh we are so much safer now.
