Winter of 2010 killed a vast majority of animals. We had a few bad winters following 2010. Killed many mature bucks because they are the ones that are fighting the hardest, running territory and are most beat up when winter comes and if they have no time to recover before the deep freeze and deep snow hits they die.

We had mild winters from about 2015-2018 which helped deer populations a lot.
