bolt lift is fine no issues at all, mine is a model seven Remington,
I actually used JB weld to bed the action and free float the barrel
haha it worked great for me haven't had no issues with that at all
I loaded it up 66.8 grns it had backed out the primers and flattened them so I backed it off to 66.5 no pressure sign , but the recoil is quite sharp ,
its accurate right where its at
clover leaf's a 5 shot group 1 inch high at 100 yards
I could live with that soo I left it just like that, but after this shoulder surgery I just might have to back off on the powder a few grains to lower the sharpness of the recoil, I don't like screwing with a good thing, if it works good I tend to leave it alone
man does it ever slam a moose or Elk though , deer it just flat out kills em dead last 4 years I haven't shot much rifle
I've made some extremely long shots on some real respectable WT bucks with it, 550 yard was the longest
I might have been one further , I didn't bother to check the range deer was dead in its tracks why check that stuff , I was just happy I got that big bugger buck
I take it out of gun case, opening day of deer season , go for a short walk about with it fire one shot , load up field dress the deer, go home clean the deer, hang it up,
then clean the gun put it back in the cabinet for another year , sorta like that is how its been for 4 or 5 years now
the reason I use RL 17 is
I read somewhere it was built and designed for these new short action magnums
so I thought I'd give it go
it worked well for my 300 SAUM so I never tried any other powder in it
guess I was just learning then to be cheap like the rest of the Saskatchewan farmers around here LMAO
