Default Anyone Bow Hunting Elk in 402?

Was up in 402 on opening archery, seen 5 moose and a pile of mulies but no elk. Also spent the next weekend up there and didn't hear or see 1 elk. Anyone had any luck yet?

Everyone we talked to hadn't had any luck, maybe it's just too hot.

Ran into two different grizz checking the cams, already know of a sow with two cubs from the previous time aswell. Seems to be first year i haven't had any wolves on cam down here. Just not seeing a whole lot of elk activity.

I was there the 3-6 and didn't find anything. Put a lot of miles on the boots hoping to find some sign of them in the fresh snow.

I was camped at the creek south of 532 next to the cow field and didn't see any elk or sign of. Lots of Grizz(3 adults and a sow w/2 cubs) moose and white tail does. Also saw some sheep hanging out on one of the slides.

One weak bugle that we couldn't track down, lots of sign 48hrs old, no sightings. Tons of grizz and a couple wolves. At least there were grouse around to arrow.

I've heard of a group of guys that managed 3 bulls out of 402. Just hearsay but normally by now I have heard more

Just about ran over a legal bull on the road. He was barely legal, was wandering around lookin punch drunk with love, could barely bugle, and his right antler drooped right down his ear...
Kids called him the Derpy bull.

Lol
