Default Jungleboy aka Pete is in the hospital and could really use some positive thoughts and prayers sent his way

So Jungleboy aka Pete underwent surgery on April 27 to have a cancerous tumour removed from his ascending colon and had about 8” of his colon removed. They were able to rejoin his bowel thankfully so he did not have to receive a colostomy which is a definite bonus. He also had three areas of his liver removed as well where the cancer had also spread to. They were not able to do the surgery laparoscopically so he had to get a large incision from his ribs down to his groin so it’s a pretty significant. His recovery is not going very well and he’s in a lot of pain still and has been having issues with his pain medications giving him very bad side effects and has now developed an infection in his incision which they’re now starting treatment for. So if you can please send positive thoughts and prayers his way I know he’d really appreciate it and hopefully it’ll help his recovery to start improving soon. I’ll post any updates when I get them. He’s got a long recovery ahead of him and will have to do further treatments for cancer once he’s recovered enough.

Sending prayers. Did the colon thing in 2012 and again 2015. It's tough but doable. Just doesn't seem like it at the time. Hang in we are all pulling for you. 🌼

I've been thru it. 3 year anniversary may 4. Surround yourself with positive people to help you through this is my advice. I had a lot of good folks from this forum help me thru their past experiences. For this I'm grateful and my thanks goes out to all of you.

If I can I'd like to pay it forward and help you Pete. If you feel like bs'ing give me a shout.

Same here, your in our hart and minds Pete.

We want the best for you going forward Brother, those dam challanges in life put all of us to task.

Here's an up date of the West country for you.

Gull & Sylvan Lk are still under ice, open edges here and there,,, Geese & Ducks are rolling in.
The snow is mostly gone in the Rocky Mountain House area,,, some areas dry,,, not so much for others.

Lots of Beavers and Muskrat floating the creeks this weekend,,, nice weather finally,,, song birds are doing there thing.
We've ran across a few Moose on our adventures, 4 that look pretty good,,, 7 in so so shape with the ticks.

We will save you some blue skys and sun shine Pete, it's all about sharing you know. Ha.

Best of wishes from our family to you and your family and friends as well Pete.

From small town dude Don

Thoughts and Prayers to Pete.

Many years ago (about 8-10) I bought my tipitent from Pete. He was a very nice guy. Sad to hear that he is fighting through a rough time right now. But the struggles we all go through help us become stronger.

Best wishes Pete. If there is anything we can do to help out let me know.
