Unhappy Another Legend is Gone.

Tommy Banks has passed away at age 81.

Had the pleasure of having him as Dean of Music and course instructor at Grant MacEwan many moons ago. He was a great role model for young budding Canadian musicians.

Thanks for the music, Tommy! You will be missed.

I met him years ago when I was doing a CD cover shot for Kennedy Jensen http://www.kennedyjenson.com/Welcome.html
I've met only a few people who were as pleasant and helpful as he was. He was never too busy to be helpful or friendly.

Tommy's mom used to have a woman's homemaker show on CFRN tv that started in the 1964. Laura Lindsey. My mother mentioned having tea with Laura a few times back then.

Happy trails Tommy Banks.
